Travel Wardrobe: How to Look Expensive While Traveling

I’m sure we’ve all been there, you’re running through the airport looking like a hot, sweaty mess and then you pass by someone impossibly chic and put together and you just crumple into your leggings a little more. Just me? Well, I’ve decided enough is enough and its time for ME to be the impossibly chic lady at the airport breezing past everyone looking like a million bucks. After lengthy internet research and a lot of stalking people at the airport, here’s my list of staples for creating a put together travel wardrobe that is guaranteed to make you look expensive while traveling. (Doesn’t matter if you’re rushing to get to your last row seat on Spirit or Frontier.)

Planning a Weekend in Seattle

As I mentioned in last week’s obsessions, I surprised Zac with a trip to Seattle for his 30th birthday! Neither of us had ever been and his sister and brother-in-law live out there, so it was a good destination for a long weekend. We definitely could have used another day or two, but here’s how I went about planning a weekend in Seattle.

DIY Faux Hardwood Floors on Plywood Subfloor

Okay, so I’m a little late on this kitchen progress update, like 1.5 years late, oops. Around November 2016, I started removing the gross green and white plaid vinyl flooring and to create DIY hardwood floors on the plywood subfloor that was underneath. To be totally honest, I started ripping the vinyl off a while before that and just lived with weird half floors for a while. Classic move. Keep reading to learn how to make your own DIY hardwood floors on your plywood subfloor.

One of us is getting rid of everything we own and the other is trying to get ALL THE THINGS. Anyone else having a dichotomous week? Other than obsessing over our possessions, here’s what we’ve been up to in this week’s And Then We Tried obsessions.

Ultimate Travel Freedom: Renting a Car in Greece

If you caught Michelle’s recap a couple weeks ago you’ll know one of the highlights of our one week itinerary was renting a car in Greece. It gave us SO MUCH FREEDOM. We’re obsessed with how easy it was to get around especially when in the end, it saved us money versus taxis to and from the airport.

Hannah and Michelle have a wedding on the east coast this weekend and are hoping to squeeze in some time in DC between festivities. Any recommendations on fun things to do or a place to grab lunch? Probably around the National Mall area so lunch can be between looking at monuments and history and stuff. Anyways, here’s what we’ve been up to in this week’s And Then We Tried obsessions.
