Porch Curtain Update
The outdoor curtains I ordered from Target last week arrived yesterday, so I immediately threw them up for a quick look. And they aren’t right. Jennifer said they look like we are drying our sheets on the porch, and I just don’t think they look breezy enough. The white definitely looks better than the dropcloth color from last week, so that’s some progress. I’ll be testing out some sheers, I have about a million pairs of the Ikea Matilda sheers hanging up inside, and hopefully, this brings the breezy vibes I desperately need. I know I’ve called myself the Goldilocks of paint colors before, but I might be transitioning into the Goldilocks of porch curtains now.

Purchasing this fabric defuzzer has seriously been one of the highlights of my week. See our Insta stories for how excited I was. All my sweaters are pilled up messes and while this could definitely have more power, it works pretty well.
Born Standing Up
Still on my audiobook kick and my very favorites are memoirs and autobiographies narrated by the author. Started with Tina Fey reading Bossypants—so hilarious—and now I’ve just finished Steve Martin’s Born Standing Up. If you grew up watching Father of the Bride, like me, it is definitely a great listen.

New Light Music Video
I’ve been low-key obsessed with John Mayer for years now, and his newest music video is just adding to my reasons to love him. He released a new song recently, New Light, and the music video is honestly hilarious. Also, if you aren’t following him on Instagram, you’re missing out.
The Lovely Bones
I just finished listening to The Lovely Bones on audiobook. I had read the book back in middle school but didn’t remember a whole lot of the story. Listening to it now, I can’t believe I read it when I was 13, there are a lot of adult themes going on. The audiobook is read by the author, which I hadn’t experienced in fiction before. She isn’t the best narrator, but it was interesting to hear her thoughts on the book at the beginning of the recording.
