Just as Michelle is getting back from her trip to Belgium and Amsterdam, I’m headed out to Spain and Portugal for the week. After checking in on her packing list, I’m off to settle up my own overpacking for the slightly warmer—though still rainy—climate. Follow along for my packing list for Spain and Portugal. Urban Outfitters BDG Black Distressed Jeans
I love these black jeans. The high rise is my jam right now—as in, no plumbers crack or whale tails to be seen. They come a little faded and perfectly casual.
These are hands down the favorite jeans of all three of us. No wonder they also made Michelle’s packing list. Super flattering with a high rise, they are a must-have and travel with me everywhere.
Urban Outfitters BDG Girlfriend Jean
Even though Michelle thinks the Urban Twig jeans have gotten super stretchy lately, the stretch in these have made them my go-to jeans to wear on the plane. They do stretch a bit but the girlfriend cut is flattering just a touch baggy (like a boyfriend jean) and they are so so comfortable. I never want to take them off.
Urban Outfitters BDG Mid-rise Shorts
The pair I have is slightly older than this year’s model but very similar. I love the semi-loose fit and they will be perfect for Portugal which is still having summer weather.
A New Day Sleeveless Lace Up Tank
I recently picked this tank up from Target’s new line of women’s clothing. The fabric is perfect (just like the tee below) and is great for travel. No wrinkles here! I will definitely be picking up more colors in this and the tee when I return.
Like the tank from A New Day, this is perfect travel material. You can roll it up, fold it up, stuff it in a bag and it will still be ready to wear when you arrive.
Just like the lace up tank this has to be your next purchase for travel wear. It has a super casual cut and you’ll arrive wrinkle-free.
Madewell Striped Sleeveless Tank
As with anything cut large and drape-y, I am loving this tank which barely touches my body. Perfect for the extra warm temps in Portugal.
Once again large and baggy which is my perfect vacation wardrobe. Plus I feel like I can pair this with any of the bottoms which makes it very versatile.
Columbia Pardon My Trench Raincoat
I purchased this raincoat a few years ago for a particularly rainy trip to Boston. It is inexpensive, available on Prime and lightweight enough to wear alone on a hot rainy day or layer with sweaters on a cold day. Definitely a travel must have!
This was another purchase from last year that I wear ALL THE TIME. Ever have one piece that looks cute with everything? It is such a win. Perfect to take on trips so I can throw on over any of the outfits planned.
Madewell Oversized Denim Jacket
This oversized jacket is my newest addition to my wardrobe. In my mind, I’m loving this oversized look but am still figuring out how to actually pull it off IRL. Any pointers from the denim jacket lovers out there?
I love to take a neutral flat like these when I travel so I have something to switch into for dinner or quick down time. While I’ll do most of my walking and sightseeing in a sneaker, it’s nice to be able to switch it up when needed.
These also made Michelle’s packing list and all three of us LOVE these. Can you tell we match too much? They are great for walking in and provide so much support.
These are my latest sneakers meant solely for walking and will probably never see a treadmill or gym floor. But you gotta look sporty while walking right? Haven’t tested these out for a full day of sightseeing just yet but a sneaker is always a must-pack item.
These Keds sneakers were my go-to shoe for my trip to Scotland last year. I found I needed something with a little more support but I love being able to easily slip these on and off. Plus if they get dirty you can throw them in the washer them when you get home.
This is my favorite travel backpack. Whether I’m traveling for work or vacation, it has ample room, front pockets for your wallet and passport plus a separate pocket for your laptop so you don’t disrupt everything going on in there. There is nothing worse than pulling out your laptop for TSA just to have everything else in your bag crumble into disorder. Never again with this bag!
After weighing my options of cross body vs. backpack, I decided to go with this cross body since it can pack down really thin for travel days. As with all travel and cross body bags just be aware of theft and watch your surroundings.
I’ve been loving these bandanas this summer. Such a simple way to quickly add color and pattern to your outfit. Easy item to pack and spice up outfits if you need to re-wear them!
