One of us is getting rid of everything we own and the other is trying to get ALL THE THINGS. Anyone else having a dichotomous week? Other than obsessing over our possessions, here’s what we’ve been up to in this week’s And Then We Tried obsessions.Keep Reading
Remember when I showed you the inside of my disorganized linen closet? Well, before starting the One Room Challenge I buckled down and did a full DIY linen closet organization using things from around the house and a few new tools. While it’s nothing like what the geniuses at The Home Edit come up with, I figured it was worth sharing.Keep Reading
If you caught Michelle’s recap a couple weeks ago you’ll know one of the highlights of our one week itinerary was renting a car in Greece. It gave us SO MUCH FREEDOM. We’re obsessed with how easy it was to get around especially when in the end, it saved us money versus taxis to and from the airport. Keep Reading
Hannah and Michelle have a wedding on the east coast this weekend and are hoping to squeeze in some time in DC between festivities. Any recommendations on fun things to do or a place to grab lunch? Probably around the National Mall area so lunch can be between looking at monuments and history and stuff. Anyways, here’s what we’ve been up to in this week’s And Then We Tried obsessions.Keep Reading
Buckle up, friends! Today we’re tackling periods and, more specifically, menstrual cups. I’ve been using a menstrual cup for about two years now after not knowing a whole lot about them. They’re certainly becoming a more popular option, but it’s surprising how many people still don’t know much about them. In fact, my OB/GYN had never seen one before I mentioned that I used one! I’ve become a convert and thought I’d share my DivaCup review with you.Keep Reading
Hello, I’m having a crisis. I’ve been trying to grow a new front lawn since last fall and I’m officially admitting defeat. My lawn has some sections of awesome, thick grass, but a lot of it is just still dirt or solid weeds. The whole point was to burn the weed-lawn to the ground and start fresh with dirt and seed, but at this point, maybe I would have been better off aggressively hand weeding the lawn. So even though I love doing anything and everything DIY-style, and as a Certified Poor TM this is usually more cost-effective, I’m about to outsource some lawn care, which leads me to this internal debate: do I care more about having a perfect lawn or earth stuff, aka do I want chemical or organic lawn care?
So, somehow, we still had to work this week despite summer unofficially kicking off over the weekend. Between Memorial Day and all of our teacher friends wrapping up their school years, it really seems like we should all just not have to work over the summer. Anyone else start to think they’re in the wrong industry when June rolls around? Other than figuring out how to get summers off, here’s what we’ve been thinking about in this week’s And Then We Tried obsessions.Keep Reading
I still haven’t fully unpacked from our one week in Greece so it should be pretty easy to just head straight back, right? I’m missing all the gorgeous vines, beaches, and feta cheese. For anyone else heading out on a trip soon, here was our itinerary for one week in Greece, with most of our time spent in the Ionian Islands.
